JACK MISSES GP CHANCE

Saturday July 28, 2018
JACK HOLDER scored 8 points in Saturday's Grand Prix challenge at Landshut, Germany which wasn't enough to secure him a top three finish that would have provided an automatic place in the 2019 world championship series.

Jack opened with two third places before taking a fine win in heat 9 with a superb first curve move to put him amongst the contenders. He was chasing Hans Andersen hard in heat 15 before they both fell victim to the pass of the night from Robert Lambert, superbly cutting through from third to first to collect the first of two wins for the King's Lynn star.

Working Antonio Lindback hard in heat 18, Holder couldn't quite find the telling line and Lindback's win proved enough to force a run-off for the final qualifying place against this year's GP debutant Craig Cook.

The Cumbrian made the gate but Lindback's determination to re-join the GP series was intense and he stormed by Cook to join meeting winner Janus Kolodziek (11) and Niels-Kristian Iversen (10) as qualifiers.
