NEWMAN TO MAKE LIONS DEBUT AT OTA

Thursday June 22, 2017
With the news that the Leicester Lions have signed Kyle Newman, the ex-Rebel is set to make his debut for the Lions in tomorrow night's match at the Oaktree Arena.

"Obviously, signing Kyle in place of Danny Ayres has, on paper at least, strengthened up Leicester, and adds another factor into tomorrow night's match," said Somerset team manager Garry May, "and with the news that Leicester have booked another ex-Rebel in Todd Kurtz as guest for the unavailable Erik Riss at reserve, it certainly puts a different slant on the match and should be a real belter with both teams looking to gain valuable league points!"

Revised Teams:

Somerset Rebels: Richard Lawson (7.80), Josh Grajczonek [c] (7.43), Kyle Howarth [g] (6.33), Charles Wright (6.17), Cameron Heeps (5.53), Jake Allen (4.93), Adam Ellis [g] (4.36); Team manager: Garry May

Leicester Lions: Kim Nilsson (8.17), Danny King (6.40), Jason Garrity (6.00), Lasse Bjerre (5.33), Josh Bates (5.33), Kyle Newman (5.26), Todd Kurtz [g] (5.06); Team manager: Jim Lynch
