Somerset's Patrick Hougaard finished in 4th place in the Peter Craven Memorial meeting staged at Belle Vue this evening.

Patrick scored 10 points from his 5 qualifying rides, which was sufficient to take him through to the semi-final, the top two from which would join the 2 highest scorers, Kenneth Bjerre and Troy Batchelor in the Grand Final.

Although the semi-final was won by Matej Zagar, Patrick just nicked the all-important 2nd place from Max Fricke on the line to qualify for the Grand Final, where he finished in 4th place behind Bjerre, Batchelor and Zagar.

Unfortunately, it was to be a disappointing night for Somerset's 3 other representatives in the meeting with Josh Grajczonek, Rohan Tungate and Charles Wright scoring 6, 3 and 2 points respectively from their 5 qualifying rides.
